It's really fun. It also has a friendship sim where you can play games with them but it's like a minor side thing.

I beat everything in Project Diva. It looks like more of the exact same game. Way to not innovate at all, Sega. Music game? Just keep releasing more songs as sequels and don't try to mix up the gameplay at all! Just do what Rock Band did!

What's that? Guitar Hero tried to add gameplay elements that weren't just more songs?! FUN?! NO. f*** THAT. STOP THEM.

They actually added new gameplay mechanics to the rhythm aspect of the game so it feels fresh, and it has a ton of new and old popular songs. The PVs are a lot better than previous installments too.

also worth noting: guitar hero died as soon as they tried to deviate from the formula

I say this as a guy who poured hundreds of hours into Guitar Hero: The changes it made ranged from pointless to s***

Most people only used it for guitar anyway, because that's all it ever was. That's why the last game didn't try any major s***, they just catered to guitar players for the most part

That said, the open bass note was f*** awesome and I wish Rock Band had stolen that idea

You can get it dirt cheap now so I'd like to try it but I'm afraid I'll play it for a week then quit (like the keyboard)

RB3's setlist was all about a sort of specific type of hipster, but the DLC for the whole series was really strong and appealed to just about everyone, especially when you consider the Network (which was brilliant)

Definitely agreed with you when RB3 released though
