Brawl was announced to be released in America for December 3, 2007. That was delayed in Japan to January 24, 2008. It was then delayed to January 31st. That was when the game was released. The localization then took a stupidly long time, but that has nothing to do with the development of the game. A delay of two months is not a delay of a year. |

I don't think they plan on releasing the game right when 2014 begins; the exact release date is debatable and subject to change. For all we know there could be unexpected delays that cause the game to have to be released in 2015 anyway.

Doubt it. WiiU sales are not doing so hot, SSB4 is supposed to be one of the big flagship games for it to turn sales around, I'd be extremely surprised if they decided to take as long on it as Brawl took. _________________
