yeah, ...why dafuq is the taunt so complicated. ...its just glasses tf. anyways samus' Ice beam feels weird because the creative intent is mediocre...whenever someone makes an immature creative decision, they'll get critical reception, however, it's really hard to describe the shortcoming... like one of those things that you can't get into or even irks you but you don't understand why. You mean akuma... Ryu is in Smash4

Okay so I think I said this before, I like how they changed Ganondorf to be his own character.
However, to activate that move set is just s***, I mean why not combine the two move sets into one. Why keep giving characters access to a different move set or the same move set, but with different properties (Samus Ice attacks).

I agree that the ice beam was an unnecessary addition to Samus. If the PMBR wanted to give her vertical kill power, they could have just modified her up smash like Smash 4 did. Regarding Ganondorf however, I have to ask why you're so against the idea of characters being able to switch between movesets? I don't think it's a bad thing. It's only one button so it's not like Squirtle putting on its Kamina glasses where it's complicated for no good reason. I mean, that taunt has Ganondorf pulling out his sword anyway so it makes sense for that to be the way for him to switch to his swordsman playstyle. As for mage Ganon, he's going to be a completely separate character from Twlight Princess Ganon. I like this idea since we can now have it both ways. The people who want Ganondorf with a sword and the people who want him to play like Captain Falcon can both be happy now with the magic-using Ganondorf on top of that being the icing on the cake.

In that post, I never said I was so against the move set. I said how it was activated was s***. Like I said before, liked how they changed Ganondorf to be his own character. I know that, what I mean is that giving him two different move sets is kinda OP a little. Say foe example, hand to hand Ganondorf has trouble with a certain character or it's just a bad MU in general. He can then switch to his sword move set and they might be able to counter the certain character, that hand to hand is having trouble with. So essentially Ganondorf became a self counter pick character himself. He can just switch between the two different move sets to deal with certain characters which is helpful for him, but bad for certain other characters they he may already destroy in his hand to hand move set. I think this could have been an alternate costume move set kinda thing or an separate character select kinda of thing. The same way how Samus and ZSS or Zelda and Sheik, are the same person, but they have different move sets and can be selected independently of each other. Like one can be OoT Ganon and the other TP Ganon like that, since in the trailer, it shows that the sword move set comes from his TP boss battle and everything. Well this is just opinion on the matter.

Good point. What would be the appearance for Smash Ganondorf, though? Like I said, the mod will be giving Mage Ganon his own spot on the roster and since the sword moveset is based on the Twilight Princess boss battle, what would they use for his hand-to-hand moveset? Not counting Wind Waker, those were his only two appearances in human form. Unless the mod maker decides to create Black Shadow and give him Falcondorf's moveset, I don't think this is going to change. Also, I don't think the moveset change will affect his stats much and I'll definitely be downloading the mod when it's finished to replace the hackjob that they did with Ganon in 3.5. (The floating ability is nice but the reflector they gave him is just plain worthless.)
