I'm not afraid to say that the only character I can actually play with is Marth. Although I am digging ZS Samus. Did she have any tweaks since Brawl? Because that up special seems a lot more useful now and she seems stronger than I remember

I had to feel out the game before I understood faster and smoother characters like Marth. If you wanna feel out the game and get accustomed to its physics, I'd recommend playing someone heavy and slower. That's what I did and it helped me translate to other characters much more easily.

ZSS is a lot different than before, her kick are more prominent and her dash attack/f-smash ultilize her boots as a tiger knee-ish slam and double kick respectively. I like playing her, but I think I'm abysmal at using her at the moment.

So Mac is now OP? I guess his poor air movility didn't hinder him at all.

He's strong, but he's not OP. People regard him as the Fox of this game (no items, final destination only), but that's because he excels at ground combat. Characters with counters hold a little more against him and as long as you don't blindly rush him down and fall for his Super Armor Smash antics you'll be fine.

All it really takes is a throw to set him really far behind.

Mac does have this neat thing where his nair combos into itself against fatasses like DK and Bowser, if you have the height advantage and its last stock vs last stock, you can jab and hitstun them downwards till they die.

Lmfao people calling Mac OP because they don't know how to play against him

Anyone who calls him OP is just bad at the game. Nothing else.

Right? His cons certainly balance him out.

We had the same thing when Brawl came out

People were calling Ike OP when they were walking straight into his f-smash

Mac is tough, but a huge part of the freakout is the advantage For Glory gives him (obviously)

If you have a character whose strengths are based on what stage he's being used on
And a mode that only allows one stage

That's an inherent balance issue, no matter what

I personally think the issue isn't Mac, it's For Glory

idk I haven't had a problem fighting Mac on For Glory yet. I've seen quite a few of them SD with their side special too. Just knock Mac off and he literally can't get back..

Lmao what

His recovery is already garbage and FD is even harder for him to recover on

Plus nothing to stop side-B SD's

It is people not playing against him right

Just try as hard as you can to get him off the stage and he'll do the rest

i'm a robin main and robin has a lot of issues against mac due to the low speed and floatiness in the air. he's still not that hard and i've fought a couple good macs

but anyone who seriously thinks mac is overpowered should git gud
