Reminder that Paul Gale's name is only well known because he got some info about Sony Smash before it was released

Well.. That kinda happened..

Yes, it did. He knew actual info about one video game

And to my knowledge has not accurately predicted anything since, despite multiple attempts

Fame's gone to his head

During tonight’s Salty Cupcakes broadcast, lead programmer Mike “Mike Z” Zaimont relayed another interesting chapter in the saga that is Skullgirls’ future on consoles. While the folks at Lab Zero Games recently revealed that Autumn Games, publisher and current owner of the franchise, have severed all ties with Konami, they have apparently been mixed up in another unfortunate situation. Konami recently requested that Skullgirls be removed from both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, effective December 17 and 31 respectively.

How in a sane world is Gone Home voted a better independent game than Papers, Please?

I think Gone Home sort of fits this little "art" definition that journalists are so desperate to fill

Video game journalists are kind of desperate to validate their position, so when you get something otherwise mediocre like Bioshock Infinite or Gone Home that seems to have some kind of deep artistic message, they tend to eat that s*** up and hold it as a shining example of how games can be art (by imitating other art, usually). It kind of helps that Gone Home takes a really non-traditional approach to "gameplay" (if you will).

Maybe one day we'll get to the point where we accept games as art, and in doing so not forget that they are still games, and that the gameplay and game design aspects of the game are just as important (or in my opinion, much more important) than the story or message. But not today.

Whatever. VGX was a trainwreck

Did you really correct somebody on a metaphor?

I was talking to my cousin before VGX started and I was certain it was going to be a Cranky Kong reveal, so I went in with low hopes. Sort of lame, but I figured they'd save their big stuff for directs and E3. If they waste time covering Cranky in the next Direct I'm going to shoot Iwata in the appendix.

A trainwreck is something coming off the rails. Planes aren't on rails.

What you said made no sense
