It would work because not only does it hide images, but you can put a message saying what kind of spoiler it is.

Well the images in a box are not displayed when in a box. Right now they're made in to URLs. I'd wait for DT to announce that he's finished tweaking the box tags before suggesting replacement.

Boxes break on the whole page when quoted. I'm in the middle of trying to fix that. Also I'm not going to remove spoiler tags since they are still useful even with boxes around.

If quoted, put the image in a spoiler box instead of [image]. I'd also suggest letting the user click anywhere on the spoiler bar to open/close it instead of just the little [-]

How about you leave the "spoiler" tag, but you change its name?
Something simpler, like "hide" (text).


Also, I believe that Flash tags should be allowed in all the forum, but when you use them, they should appear inside a box.
