Trying to find somewhere to post. I have no idea where to sign up for RP's, I can't post in the spam section, and I doubt I have anything new to say about SSF2.

1) There is an RP section, start with that. But I also think there is a required usergroup for "standard rp"
2) Spam section is usergroup only, but you have to apply. All applicants get in unless you were kicked.
3) ???
4) PROFIT

I'm aware of both. I was complaining more about not knowing whether an RP is open for signups and whether or not they accept char sheets in the same thread. And I've already sent in an application to get in the spam section, but it hasn't been accepted or denied yet.

Hahaha, oh you're definitely in. Yu've been accepted into the Spam Section and already have access to the RP Sections. Just create a character sheet in the RP Bios Section in its own thread and then watch the RP Discussions Section to see if there are any RP's you'd like to join. You can also browse the RPG Section to take a look at any current RP's and see if they're accepting new people. Each one usually requires its own character sheet, but that's why we make our own in the other section: So we don't have to always make things up off the top of our heads.

If you need a good layout for your sheet, you can look at some of our other characters. I'd suggest looking at either Adélaïde D'aubigne, Niniva Aerovine- Revised, Incarnations of Zesper, or Nwol. Fine examples of characters with great back stories and such. The more original a design is, the better.

Also, just to note, Ziku only hates the words f** and gay if they're used as derogatory terms. Newfag is fine because it's an entirely different word, but remember not to insult homosexuals on here. It is grounds for a warning and whatnot.

Ah, thanks! In Xgen, we have Spammer Land, which is more or less exactly like your Spam Section. But it's public. I do know why you made it an opt-in group, though.



We at XGen usually make a new character for each RP, or just repost a char sheet if it's from another RP. We typically have it split up into [SIGNUP] and [PLAY] threads, but we also don't have our "own" forum. We kinda just hijacked an inactive forum called Off-Key and called it our own, so we don't have nearly as much organization as you guys do here.

Also, I love making up s*** at the top of my head. That's when I get my best ideas, like Vince Holloway, an altruist that thinks he has multiple personality disorder but really is just trying to cover up his guilt about being a mass murderer. Damn, he doesn't sound as epic summed up into a single sentence.



I'll check the sheets out, a lot of the stuff here is more DND-ish. I'm more of the pure roleplay kinda guy, with little to no combat. Maybe that'll make my devious GM'ing plans that much more enjoyable.

EDIT: Just noticed that a certain word just got added to the wordfilter.

We had to close the Spam Section to a lot of people because it was becoming the epicenter of idiocy and random flaming, and thus brought down the quality of the entire site. You should've seen it before.

XGen just cracked down on flamers. We have something called "The November Policy", where anyone that flames is banned for a week, without warning or any points given (we use a 5 point system for bans, get to 5 and you're perma'd). It allows the mods to just ban someone without having to worry about banning them for months or forever over something trivial, yet still allows points to be added if a little extra sting is needed to get the point across or to punish a repeat offender.

Your solution seems elegant enough, then again, I don't know how much the community focuses on Spam Central. At XGen, Spammer Land is the center of EVERTHING.

That really is a good system. You see, if a user gets three warnings on here, the site automatically bans them for several days. It makes things so much easier. But, you know, closing the spam section wasn't just about the flaming. Oh, the posts in there were riddled with lifelessness and Naruto fan threads. It may not be as active as it used to be, but it keep our child-user level down. Same goes for our 13 and up policy. However, this is mostly only enforced on people who insist on acting immature. Kids who are under 13 that can act older are permitted to stay.

I'm just so used to that sort of thing that it doesn't even bother me anymore. But instead of Naruto fanboys, we get "SA fags" or "stick fags" that play Stick Arena. I'm sure you can imagine the idiocy.

Trust me, SSF fanboys are bad, too.
