This is my Fire Emblem original character, Corrin
He has dragon blood and can turn into a dragon, and his sword is a chainsaw, and he's brothers with the forces of good and the forces of evil
He likes Dragonforce and My Chemical Romance, and he hates my stepdad

I was doing a play on how his design looks like pure edge took his shoes off before entering a Japanese home, but that makes it even better

but how would someone in a 2v2 situation pull off a Falcon Punch safely unless it was the opponent's last stock

i'm on the fence about Corrin. on one hand, there were a lot of better choices especially considering it's not out in the west yet. and another sword character. we also have a LOT of Fire Emblem reps.

on the other, i really like FE, i really enjoy almost every sword character (MK not so much), and, while K. Rool or something would be the better choice, i definitely prefer Corrin (plus K. Rool would just be another dumb hands character i'd never buy him ever)

In balance patch news:
Bowser gets a combo throw and Shulk and Robin have received a landing lag decrease on their aerials.
Luigi's DThrow now is halfway between the original and the 1.12 version.
Marth/Lucina and Ganon have received buffs, not nerfs as I said previously.

And Zero Suit Samus got buffed. (Unconfirmed, people are saying she has two more hitboxes on her Plasma Whip)

I'm hyped for Bayonetta, but after the direct ended all I could think about was how there we're 6 open slots found in the games data. Maybe this is the last presentation but not the last announcement. I can dream, right?

The direct was awesome, I'm mixed with Corn. He does have some unique things going for him, but I feel like if that was Tiki(who does just about the same thing) I would have been 1,000x more hyped. That said, there's no way in hell I'm not picking him up.

It's entirely possible we could get another veteran in the future, but as for newcomers Bayonetta is the last one. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.

I completely understand people not being happy with Corrin. It is another FE character. I tried to think of all the recently released/upcoming games that could've had a rep from, and the only two that came up were Splatoon and Fates. Inklings would've been super cool, and probably much more hype than Corrin, but given the fact that FE is a huge series in Japan and is growing rapidly everywhere else, I can sort of understand why they'd choose them. It's another FE character which is a big turn-off to a lot, but at the same time it is a brand new character and not a clone. Hell they barely even use the sword from what they've shown so far.

I'm personally very excited for Corrin, hell I'm excited for any new character. But I agree that it would've been much cooler to see another series get a new rep.

That's what I was thinking. Sakurai specifically said: "The final New challenger in Super Smash Bros for Nentindo 3DS and WIIU". So its possible that they could announce a newcomer when announcing the release dates for Corrin an Bayonetta. That would of course leave the speculation between veterans though. Technically Speaking we've still got three unused slots, hopefully it doesn't stay that way.
