Now I feel convinced, yet I still never see the dot during my browsing experience. It could be a browser issue, but who knows? Did anyone else encounter the dot?

I don't think that it's a browser issue, since I use Firefox and I don't see any dots above anyone's username. But, then again, it could just be a site problem.

On Chrome if you drag the username the underline never goes away, for what it's worth.
