When you reshade or red-edit a sprite, it might be a good idea to post the original next to it, so people can compare.

As for the sprite, you only added one shade (and you didn't even shade the white parts), but aside from the hair being a bit pillow'd you did a good job on that. No problems with the light source. But next time, I'd recommand throwing in one more shade if you edit such sprites, just for the eyecandy.

That's really all I can say, sorry, I'm still learning how to get better at constructive critique.

It looks like the original sprite was probably 1 shade to begin with and adding some more shades to it might mess it up especially because its so small =/ like Damian said its probably best to post the original sprite next to it.
