I have three favortie weapons.
-Negev, or "portable lawnmower" as I call it, is just absolutely unfair and hilarious to use. It's accuracy is fantastic in bursts, and with like 200 bullets (and you only need like 5 to kill someone) a magazine it's amazing to just rush and hold the trigger. I once rushed down the middle of Inferno with it just holding the trigger and killed the entire enemy team.
-The AWP is just, in a word, badass. Dropping a guy across the map with a single shot will NEVER get old. It's actually incredibly accurate when you noscope too, so it's fun to screw around with.
-The Sawed-Off Shotgun. Don't ask why, cause I don't even know. I'm aware 90% of the time it sucks, and choosing it is more than likely a death sentence. But maybe that's why I love it. Getting a kill with a horrible weapon in ANY game is incredibly satisfying.

Time to analyze s***. This is based on my gameplay experiences.
Pistols

Tec9: f*** love this gun. It's a one shot headshot and 32 rounds is amazing. Body shots are somewhat underpowered but it has a managable reload, but with 32 shots you won't reload much.
Glock: This gun is pretty standard. It does a decent amount of damage and burstfire helps if you aim for the chest more often.
P2000: This gun lacks the speed of the Glock but it's a bit more powerful. It also seems a bit more accurate.
P250: This gun is almost as good as the tec9, it lacks the amazing clip size but it does massive headshot damage.
Dual Berettas: These guns are amazing, they make up accuracy with firepower and do good damage.
Desert Eagle: Glass cannon. The clip is small, but it requires precise aiming with the high recoil. As expected, big damage dealer.
Five Seven: f*** this gun.

Real men use deagles

Love the Five SeveN, but the Deagle is far superior.

I use no pistols other than the Dual Barettas. If you just rush in the first round with them and dance around guys with deagles they don't stand a chance. They have 7 bullets a clip, I HAVE 30 (well, 15 a gun but whatever). Plus they fire much faster, giving me a higher chance for a headshot.

This all depends on the skill of the players but you do have a point, dual berettas clip size doesn't f*** around.

To be honest I liked the dual berettas before the big update/final game. They looked cooler, same with deagle, it lost it's shine for a cooler reload animation.
SHOTGUN ANALYSIS TIME

Nova: f*** hell this gun is awesome. It's so cheap you really get a bang for your buck. It's a high power, high range weapon that really has no major drawbacks.
XM104: Worst shotgun in my opinion. THe exact opposite of the Nova, little range, and even little power, but much faster.
Sawed-Off: This seems to be a slower Nova with a bit more spread. I find the damage to be higher at mid-range. It's still fun to use.
MAG-7: Love this one, it's a mix between the Nova and Sawed-off, I find it to be more accurate and it shoots a bit faster than both.

I would do a full map analysis type thing, but that would take way too long. So here's a list of maps from my favorite to least favorite.

IMO every map is good and well designed except for Aztec. I do like Aztec, but I think it's completely unfair to the Terrorists, because with the long sightlines and placement of the spawns, the CT can get to the chokepoints much faster than them.

Yeah, on Aztec the CT can get to the bridge faster so if you have an AWP or good aim it's goodnight Terrorists
I haven't really analysed the maps (so I could be wrong) but I've played them enough. Dust II is my favourite.
But I mean I do play this on Xbox so the other players are probably a lot worse than the PC players

I play on Xbox as well. I played the beta on PC and sucked complete a** at it, but I blame that mostly on me not being attuned to playing with a keyboard and mouse. I'm not sure if it's that I'm more confortable with consoles or if the players on Xbox are worse, but I've been doing much better with the full game than I did on the beta.

PC master race. Bow to your superior.

..Go on. Get down.

Most will agree that playing on a PC is the better choice, what with the constant support, modding, and everything. But I see nothing wrong with playing on a console.

A mouse and keyboard will always and forever be the best way to control a tight shooter like CS

Don't worry I'm aware PC is the best for a lot of games. It's just that I grew up on consoles and I like the simplicity of them.

I just feel sorry for people who have to play cs with a stick
