I never said I hated Abyss once in that post.

I have restarted abyss because I have forgotten where to go and the f*** synopsis isnt helping at all lol. So I'm at the part where Asch opens Luke's Fon slots in order for them to make a connection. I'm playing as Asch. I'm actually enjoying the game. In my opinion, the story is really hard to follow unless you look for the little details they drop in the conversastions the characters have.


I agree with Blood, Luke's changes are remarkable and fun to follow but I still enjoyed Vesperia's development where Yuri was the only character that remained static throughout the entire game and he helped the other characters.

And he isn't generic in battle that be s*** you are saying it's since the fact that overall he is one of the faster characters and since in gameplay.Anise has the highest overall attack power after her it's Guy and then Luke.
Atleast his personalty isn't Luke 1st part of game:Jackassery. 2nd part of game:Emo.

I hate to step in, but Lloyd's story, character design, personality and moveset aren't generic in the slightest.

Really? The moveset seems to be. At least a generic Tales character with the demon fangz and teh sword rainz and teh tempestz and teh sonic thrustz. I wasn't getting at Lloyd being generic everywhere, I was getting at the fact Guy is more like the default Tales hero.

From what I have seen, Tales characters share artes in every game and I'm also going to have to agree with Geno on this one.

Yes, I understand characters share artes, but Guy and Lloyd seem so similar.

Well Guy and Flynn seem more similar, considering they share both the same artes and face.

Okay, moreso Cless than Lloyd, but Lloyd is still in there.

If you think about it they aren't that similar. Considering every character that appear to be similar are trained in different styles, the appearances of the moves are almost always performed differently. Like the move lightening Tiger Blade. The way Cress, Lloyd and even Luke and Asch perform it differently and it even has more hits depending on the person.

The way Tiger blade is performed by Yuri, Flynn, Guy, Lloyd, and Cress is different two. Yuri's hits three times while the others only have a two hit combo.

The point I am trying to make is that all of the characters are unique no matter how similar you make them out to be.

Yeah, they are unique a bit, but mainly what I'm trying to get at is that the Tales main characters all have very large similarities and are most of the time not that hard to point out if you see just a battle.
