Really liking that man, sounds really original.

Manages to actually pretty fast paced, but very relaxing at the same time.

Here's a new song I made. Not trying to stick to any one genre right now, just testing my boundaries as a song writer.

Was also aiming for a much cleaner mix on this track. Not trying to break any boundaries or anything.

EDIT: Here's Bandcamp/Soundcloud links for those of you who aren't mentally insane.

Interesting tone, very dreamy
the drums aren't something you hear all the time in black metal
What bands inspired this track?

thanks kp!

the tone was inspired by the likes of Fen, Deafheaven, Nhor, Wolves In The Throne Room, and other bands like that

the drums are inspired from a few different ranges, it has some blast beats which is standard black metal but it also has grooves inspired by the likes of Misha Mansoor's programming to the use of high hats and cymbals from Azure Emote

the overall theme comes from within me at the time, though

I'd like to make music, but first I need to take a look at software. What music making software does everyone use?

the better question to ask is what type of music you want to make

how much experience do you have with music theory and/or composition?

jumping right into music production with little prior knowledge of the basics is a bad idea

Made another EP, this is a little something something to tide over until my album release, which will be under a new project name called "Nacht" as this is a collaborative album of many people under mainly my creative control, which the album will be on the label Hibernacula Records, it will be folk metal ranging from orchestral and acoustic tracks to black metal tracks all with the atmosphere of nature in wintertime. This makes the ep a very stark contrast to the album. Enjoy!

Thanks buddy!

I came up with Nacht because I wanted to go for a unique name, and I think dutch sounds really cool and night really fits with the theme of the album, it focusing on nature and survival and what not, so I dug around and Nacht just sounds and looks really sweet!
