and then everyone takes the creepiest screenshots ever taken in a video game before

His moveset is so similar to fox and falco's that you may as well call him one.

the way certain moves are executed are different, but essentially the same
plus, his final smash, along with fox and falco, is to summon a tank.

Are you one of those people who say "moveset" when referring to "specials"? His specials draw heavy inspiration from Fox, yes of course. However the way they're used almost changes the moves completely. Not to mention that the rest of his normal attacks are 100% different.

I like the similarity between characters in the same universe, because it ties them together. I think you (along with a ton of other people) should redefine what they call a "clone", the word is thrown around way too easily nowadays. I'm crossing my fingers for Wolf in smash bros 4, he was a very welcomed addition to brawl in my opinion.

If i meant specials, i would've said specials...

they're essentially the same, even if they're executed slightly different. they look kind of different and that's the only difference.
his gun, his A combo, his aerial attacks...they all are just tweaks from fox, doesn't matter how they're used
unless you mean his side+special and up+special attacks which are probably the only moves that are 100% different.

I agree that he was welcomed for brawl. If he's brought to ssb4, falco should go cause it'll just be triplets all over again

Falco is the most popular Smash Starfox character though (under the 'competive smashers' at least).

Please tell me you're joking and you aren't really that dumb.

If anything, his specials are the similar ones and his smash/tilts/aerials are different. How can you even get those backwards lmfao.

Really? I feel like I see a lot more fox players out there... unless you're counting more than just Melee.

It's hard to call Wolf a clone when literally every attack and special has different animations, percentages, and knockback values than Fox or Falco. It's almost insulting to Project Sora after all the work they put into each character, to call ANY character in Brawl a clone imo. I mean sure, Falco and Ganondorf were still semi-clones, but you have to admit that the changes were a big step up from Melee, where a lot of the attack animations (right down to the running animations for Fox/Falco) were frame-by-frame copies.

Since Proj Sora stated that their goal for the new Smash Bros is to focus on character balancing and gameplay mechanics rather than "introducing more non-Nintendo characters willy-nilly" and adding size to the roster, I think Wolf would be a nice addition to Smash 4 and trust that he will remain different from Fox in gameplay and, since Sakurai himself isn't the sole character balancer anymore, would have an awesome playstyle.

EDIT: http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Clone
then scroll down to Fox & Wolf

i understand that, but even with that said, he's at least a "semi-clone".
because i'm pretty sure that ganondorf and falco also only had differences with animations, percentages, and knockback.

yet they were still recognized as semi-clones.

So now you're saying they're semi-clones instead of clones?

If you're going to argue something, at least stick to it.

But he isn't. None of his specials work the same as his fox/falco counterparts, and they're used completely differently maybe bar Uspecial, but even then the way it attacks is different. He's not even a semi-clone, he's a fully fledged original smash bros character, regardless of whether or not his final smash is a Landmaster.

I'm not trying to get on your case or anything, it just makes my blood boil when people argue against certain characters with a passion because they are "clones". Like Ya Dad said, calling anything a fully fledged clone in brawl is a stretch, and even though you changed it to semi-clone, it's still really wrong lol. Go boot up brawl and play around with fox and wolf side by side. I think you'll be astonished by the differences, there will be no similarities.

Sure the moves don't work the same, but special-wise, I'd say wolf is a clone. The moves may seem different, but they work in just about the same way as Fox/Falco. By the way Ramsey, if you're trying to make that a staple to your argument that the basic attacks are different, would you say that Ganondorf is still a clone of Falcon?
