I usually don't use texture packs since I get confused at what is what, but ever since Notch introduced labels it makes things easier

Just got updated to 1.2, TONS of new stuff this time around! 15 different colours of dye for colouring wool blocks (you can even paint sheep!), a new purely decrative ore (Lapis Lazuli), Squid (a passive aquatic mob) and more!

YES! I can finally make the Emerald City with a fully yellow Yellow Brick Road!

Oh and Sandstone too! You can convert four sand blocks into sandstone, which is essentially the same as sand but looks nicer and isn't affected by gravity.

For Pokemon fans there is a Pokeball Mod which allows you to catch (but not domesticate) mobs. You can release them later (which is useful is you want a sheep farm for coloured wool)

Also that cute frog girl Rana is back in a Mod with an actual use this time. You can put her on a leash (oh my) and if you encounter mobs they are likely to attack her rather than you (oh my)

I can't wait for Notch to do more with taming animals and keeping them in pens and things. Even just a tag or something you could place on them to prevent them from de-spawning would be great.

I want more plants =/
I hope he'll have a Flora and Fauna update or something

So which mods do you guys actually use? I like to play the game as Notch intends, and will wait to see what officially gets included before adding extra things in that might end up being added anyway.
Although I have to admit I do use Mo Creatures, that's pretty cool.

I just like searching for Mods, although, once the Pokeball mod gets a compatible update I'll use it to make a sheep farm and that's about it
The Rana, Mo Creatures and Bunny mod look like fun though but since Notch is updating every week I can't be bothered downloading the updated mod all the time

Yeah that's the other reason I don't download Mods.
I think I'll wait for the full game before modding. Textures on the other hand, I think are great.
