Right so I was thinking, that you guys could have some fun dissecting and telling me how horrid my games were, while helping me out with... help? You can comment on one or more and I'll listen to anything no matter how harsh. And I'd like to know if you'd like to see any of these redone. Provided I keep it alive/get a co-DM. If you'd like to take one and run it yourself please ask, chances are I'll give you the go ahead.

The year is 3047. A new planet capable of sustaining life has been found. This planet is called Terra 2. It is 65% land and all of it's oceans are fresh water. Almost all its plant life is identical to Earth's, but very few of the lifeforms here are remotely close to Earth's (due to the lack of primates the dominant species is a reptilian race that behaves much live the Native Americans behaved when they first saw the European's ships.). The two suns that give light to this planet, that is slightly smaller than Earth, bathes the entire planet almost continuously in sunlight, and the temperature is nearly always in the 70*F-80*F range. Most all of the planet's one K-shaped continent is forest with a mountain range around the one desert.

Your character should start in the town of Fildel, the human capital of the planet.

The layout for your character should be something like this:

Name: ex. John ( nickname ) Doe
Gender: MALE or FEMALE
Occupation: ex. lumberjack, hunter, scientist.
Appearance: ex. 5'6", blonde, medium build, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

post anything else you want, but I only really need the info above.

notes: Earth has invented laser technology, but old fashion guns are still in common use.
The Galactic People's Army tightly watches the town.
The Retilles are a smart race, they picked up Earth language very fast, but not all of them can speak it.

Sonic RPG: Flash Freeze wrote:
Years ago strange beings began to appeared around the world. They had no respect for life and froze everything around them. They even froze great heroes like Sonic and Tails. Now the world is a frozen wasteland, Governed by a cruel king, Fralios.

Act 1:

You are a young citizen of the town of Sike. Rumors are abundant about the new guy in town. They say he knows where the frozen heroes lie.

Character Set-up:

Name:
Race:
Gender:
Personality:
Appearance: (If you would please use the links in IceFire's topic in the art section)
Bio:

Side Notes:
If you do not wish to start out as "the typical young hero" you do no have to, just make sure to state something in your bio about why your in town. Key places to start would be: In your house, outside messing around, in the library, or in the tavern.

(Please limit yourself to no more than two characters)

[I know Sonic RPGs have been tried in the past only to fail, I'm just trying to find out if one can be pulled off]

Aug 10: A man goes to the ER saying he was bit by a man in a holloween mask.

Aug 13: After flat lining the same man begins to attack people in the hospital. After being shot repeatedly in the chest by the local police a mysterious man in black shoots the crazed man in the head.

Aug 14: The "Men in Black" quarantines the city and starts to eradacate the "infected".

Aug 17: A call comes over the "Black Channel" to withdraw from town "this is just what the 'Boss' needed all along."

Aug 21: Nearly all the city is infected. Even the animals are not spared from the infection. Worst of all the "Men in Black" have orders to use deadly force on infected and non-infected.

Aug 22: You wake up to the sound of gun fire. You must leave your hiding spot for both the men in black and the infected are drawing close. You think to yourself I must get to the mall, the mall has tight sercurity, food, and guns. Best of all few infected patrol their and the men in black never seem to go there. This is where you start...

Rules: You cannot leave the city. No magic or superhuman powers. If you are killed by a zombie you cannot control your zombie (don't worry if you just get bit tho, I'll fix that problem when you get to the mall.). You cannot be a Black Op unless I give you an OK. If you desire to join follow these guide lines please:

Name
Age
Personality
Gender
Appearance (What you are wearing please don't say none Razz )
Occupation (this will determine the skills you have. Ex: a doctor will be able to reset bones and the like.)
Hiding place (Where you start out. Ex: a doctor would start out in a hospital or the like.) Please unless your a sercurity guard or something of the like don't start in the mall.
Starting Weapon ( a bum in the subways cannot start with a rocket launcher be reasonable)
Bio ( a brief history of your character if they have medical condition or if they smoke list that here)

List of important NPCs ( I'll update the list as NPCs are found):

Isle of Rebirth wrote:
"Now that we are all here..." The Colonel starts but is cut off by a wild haired young woman that comes in and sets in the one unoccupied chair.

"As I was saying, you fine men and females," as his eyes pass over the group of people his expression hardens as he glances at the women of the group, "You have been chosen to carry out a very top secret mission. A group of terrorist calling themselves 'Rebirth' claim they can and will unleash an attack on the Capital if their demands are not met."

The same messy haired girl chips in saying, "So what are the demands?"

"Don't speak out of line girl! Besides we don't know their demands, we were cut off mid-communication," As he says this he turns to face another, more decorated, man.

The New man begins speaking right away, “My name is General O’Hue. I’m to be your mission briefer. These radicals ‘Rebirth’ are based on a remote island in the Pacific named, Teretadus. Although we do not know Rebirth’s demands we do know that we have a strict no negotiation policy. In short you are our ‘no negotiation policy’. Your mission is to get inside Rebirth’s base, find out their plans, and to stop them at all costs.”

General O’Hue walks over to a projector and turns it on, revealing a map of an island, Teretadus.
Image

As O’Hue begins speaking again he uses laser pointer to show each point on the map as it is mentioned,”Here at this red X is your point of entry. You will be parachuting down so Rebirth will know of your arrival. This is why you should make you way north-east to this run-down beached air craft carrier, to make a base of operations before infiltrating Rebirth’s base. We do not know the exact location of this base, but it is most likely to be due west of the carrier, harbored in the dual mountains near this makeshift airstrip. Any Questions so far?”

This is where you can come in. This is a free-form RPG so the character sheet is really quite simple.

Name: Your character’s name.
Appearance: What your character looks like.
Gender: Are your playing as a male or female.
Age: How old are you. You may put a range here too. (Optional)
Race: Umm… I can’t think of a good description… This is if your Caucasian, Hispanic, Chinese, ect.
Personality: The general way you act. (Optional)
Expertise: What are the skills you’re good at? Why may have you been chosen for this mission?

Or if you learn by example:

Name: Tsuru Niles
Appearance: Messy short red hair, jade green eyes, and a small build.
Gender: Female
Age: Mid-Twenties
Race: Japanese-Irish
Personality: Will be reviled though game play.
Expertise: The type of person who can make a plan on the fly. Her skill with small firearms is not to be over looked either.

With your character start yourself off. If you have a question for O'Hue or not, make some sort of reference that you're there.

Questions for me can also be asked before or during character creation.

EDIT: Gah! I forgot to say: This is a character limit RPG. Only five players one character apiece.

Every day the zone expands. More and more mayhem erupts though once peaceful lands... blowouts are worse and worse every day. New Mutants, Factions, lands, and anomalies appear. With all of this why do people still go into the zone? Some have no choice as the zone has devoured their homes. Some are protectors of those before mentioned people. Some go to escape the law. But most go to hunt for the "artifacts" that appear there.

Why are you here is the question? Who are you, and why are you?

Now... I do say before I get a whole lot of people, maybe, I suggest you Google S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and/or read this book: Roadside Picnic book download

Character sheet:

Name: (Really anyone who doesn't know what this is cannot get in)
Age*: (how old are you/how old you look)
Gender: (Are you a guy or girl)
Faction: (Will be explained)
Brief Bio: (a short story or what ever. MUST explain how and why your in the zone)

About factions:

The lone Stalker: A person in the zone that hasn't join a faction yet for whatever reason.
Pros: Access to many jobs and items.
Cons: Factions are not that trustworthy of you.

Duty: As a Dutyer you believe that the zone must be stopped at all costs.
Pros: You are a trusted person with lots of support.
Cons: Other factions are constantly at war with you. You hate all factions other than Lone Stalker and Duty.

Freedom: As a member of Freedom you believe in the motto "live and let live... unless its a Dutyer". You are here to protect the people of the Zone and not to stop it
Pros: Can interact with most factions freely, for trading and missions.
Cons: Poor base and equipment.

Bandits: A bandit. You take from the poor and give to yourself.
Pros (This was hard to think of): You have lots of access to equipment and artifacts.
Cons: You are hated by every one, and equipment is in poor shape.

Scientist/Escort Stalker: You want to explore and harness the Zone, or to get payed for helping do so.
Pros: Well payed, unique items.
Cons: High risk missions, constantly being attacked.

Military: Self explanatory.
Pros: Good everything.
Cons: You can not "join" this group... and they hate you. May have missions for you though.

Monolith: Believe the zone is everything, life, death, God, the devil, sanity, and madness.
Pros: Unbelievable items and support.
Cons: No one can "join" this group... and they hate you. No missions. They shoot to kill, and shoot on sight.

The first four people get in free, other people must be smuggled in by existing players.

A General Guideline to Wesnoth

Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game that follows events that happen at different points of time in a place call Wenoth, along with a few other minor contents. Recently in the pokemon world a discovery was made. A continent, the mythical Alantica, was found on a routine scouting mission by a pokemon ranger. The small Island had been covered in a strange mist, the reason why it had escaped discovery for so long. Now the new and experienced trainers from all over are going to Alantica for a variety of reasons. One is the search for the Pokemon of Seasons, Gornala. Another is to research all the new pokemon.

Titaliz is the size of a Sceptile, it replaces the fin with a foam-like crest along it's back. It's tail is the size of a wardrobe and resembles a Tidalwave.

Men In Black? Yay.
Ok, Let me start. I like it. The storyline looks flexable, yet restricts unreasonable things such as magic. I'm thinking that there should be a map included in this, to help find the way across the city. I'm wondering why the Men in Black never go into the mall. If it is a hotspot for resources and such, then why wouldn't the Men in Black be there. It makes sense for a typical commander to observe the situation and immediately see that the mall is an excellent place for any survivors. If your character could figure that out, I'm guessing the boos can too. I guess you needed to throw the people playing it a rope. Bum with a rocket launcher... I laughed so hard...
I'm guessing that you could leave the city though. Leave and get shot two feet from the wall, If you're lucky. Perhaps we'll do the resident evil way, and jack the boss's helicopter. I don't get the Halloween mask part. Perhaps some more details on that situation may help in an objective when you reach the mall.

Ok... I'm guessing this looks pretty good. I was thinking, however, that there could be a private organization in this. Like a covert operation group that's been against Rebirth, yet doesn't side with the government. Perhaps there could be more strategy than just parachuting downwards. I'm thinking, like a boat diversion, or some kind of cloaking vessel. I don't know the type of technology that they utilize at this point, whether it be still with ballistics or with other weapons. Looks more stable than the other ones.

The Lost Continent (A pokemon RP)

Recently in the pokemon world a discovery was made. A continent, the mythical Alantica, was found on a routine scouting mission by a pokemon ranger. The small Island had been covered in a strange mist, the reason why it had escaped discovery for so long. Now the new and experienced trainers from all over are going to Alantica for a variety of reasons. One is the search for the Pokemon of Seasons, Gornala. Another is to research all the new pokemon.

Sign up sheet:

Character name: (first and last)
Character gender: (male or female)
Character appearance: (If left blank you aren't accepted and will be ignored)
Character backstory: (If left blank it is assumed you are just starting your pokemon career, and had nothing important in your life up to this point. And you lazy.*)
Pokemon: (If left blank you have decided to start with an Alantica pokemon)

The Alantica Starters:

Vineper
The Vine Snake Pokemon
Grass
A green boa about the length of a grown man's arm, it seems to have tuffs of grass growing from the back of it's neck.
|
---->Cobranch
The Vine Snake Pokemon
Grass-poison
Twice the size of Vineper, it's even more intimidating because the grass is replaced by two large leaves, giving it the appearance of a cobra.
|
---->Pythorn
The Vine Snake pokemon
Grass-poison
A staggering 11ft long the leaves of the Cobranch have made a row down Pythorn's back, it has a large leaf at the end of it's tail that is as sharp as a sword.

Blantz
The Army Ant Pokemon
Fire-Bug
A red-orange ant about the size of a grown man's head, it has Ice blue eyes and a black skull-like marking on it's back.
|
---->Flarecoon
The Campfire Cocoon Pokemon
Fire-Bug
Flarecoons are all different, they all are rounded at bottom and are spiked, like fire frozen in place.
|
---->Heatwavesp
The Heat Hornet Pokemon
Fire-bug
A Heatwavesp looks like a Blantz save for a large harpoon-like stinger, two 5ft long antenna, and three pairs of wings that look like fire when in flight.

Minafin
The Tadpole Pokemon
Water
A dark blue tadpole with two fins and two smooth tails, it is about the size of a football, excluding the tails.
|
---->Tadzurd
The Tide Pool Pokemon
Water
A bipedal lizard the size of a Marrowak, it is a lighter blue than Minafin. It has a pink dorsal fin on its back, and a pink webbing connects it's two tails.
|
---->Tidaliz
The Tsunami Pokemon
Water-dragon
Titaliz is the size of a Sceptile, it replaces the fin with a foam-like crest along it's back. It's tail is the size of a wardrobe and resembles a Tidalwave.

(*don't expect to get rare pokemon and items, because I hate lazy people)

I DOO TOO!
I'm not sure what to expect from a pokemon RP, but this seems ok. I'm confused on what tactics we will utilize to catch a pokemon, however. You mentioned a pokemon ranger, who uses a top, I believe, to catch pokemon, but many people recognize pokemon catching with poke balls. I'm also curious as to whether currency will be kept track of here, seeing how money is crucial to a trainer's actions, and I'm guessing there would be some huge argument on the pricing of things. Actually, scratch that, unless poke marts/poke centers have been established, since its was, ahem, recently found. I'm thinking that this may seem most complicated, aside from your stat ones (Well, I read something about hex boards), as people may have differences on techniques, and small biases may prove to ruin a fight experience.

On the other hand, ALL of these seem good. To me, they also seem kind of short, but, if they were any longer, my computer might have died. Or, Chrome would have another fatal error.
As another side note, do you prefer to be called Werebob? Negative Null doesn't fit your personality and posts, from what little I've heard or read about you.

Now, Is that good? Nice review? No? Yes?

Of all the ones I skimmed, Isle of Rebirth looked promising. However, if it were in any case a military RP, parachuting would probably be the last option they would take. Low altitude whirly bird insertion is a staple, unless you go in like SEALs, by sub. As a spec op, it would require they not have a base of operations, and keep moving to stay out of enemy hands. That and if they had an image of the island, why wouldn't they have the picture of the base entrance unless it was well camouflaged?

Grid RPs have been dead ever since the removal of the initial intent of RPB.
