I'm not going to disown the character or anything lol, just seemed like a pretty drastic jump.
It's less of disagreeing with the design, its more like its a pretty drastic jump that could make the transition uncomfortable for some. First impressions show that its something that would be better in the long run, but pretty weird for veterans to adjust to.
Even if its better for the character and the game, in a way its still sad to see old design concepts dissappear like that. It comes with being a work in progress of course, and I completely understand.
Branching from said topic, it would be an interesting experiement as far as Expansion characters are concerned to revist older designs for implemented characters and see how they would interact with the modern cast.

Think of it like Yoshi's double jump. He only gets it once per air state, and he can't grab the ledge while rising. The armour also goes away if he attacks, and unlike Yoshi he won't have any other resources to get back on stage once his double jump is gone.

I do agree that megaman was pretty extreme in terms of balance; he has one of the best projectile and neutral games, but the worst recovery and easiest to combo. After watching the blog's video a few more times I noticed that the power pellets have stun again, so they're no longer the worst projectile in the game, so that might be a worthwhile tradeoff for the other projectiles. The new down throw seems to have more knockback, but I'm hoping up throw will be better for combos. Just as long as he doesn't get destroyed by chain grabs, he'll probably be a decent character.

if he gets hit while using his upB he cant use it again and his upB has nor hitbox except when he presses B in his upB but that has almost no knockback or hitstun so in his upB he's a sitting duck

Do you know what Super Armor means? In Beta you will not be able to hit him out of Beat Call at all unless its Heavy Armor or something like on Yoshis DJ. Perosnally, I wouldve preferred another solution I gave a few pages ago (because Super Armor on a recovery this long on such a heavy char feels pretty weird imo) Also, please dont double post.

ditto. but whatevs. Make classic SSF2 MM do only 1% and low KB on all moves. That way we can have him, but no one would use him win;win
