Now, I don't know much about anyone else, but I've been playing this flash game since middle school in the comfort of the back of the library whenever lunch time would come around.
You guys have really expanded ever since then, to the point where you are now expanding online!
If I could suggest one thing, is that you guys get those creative juices flowing and make your own character for the game. I think its one of those things that we all desire in a video game, seeing as the mass abundance of games that center around your own-hand-made character. So... why not?

Haha, but yeah we would just prefer bringing beloved video game and nintendo starts to life. Plus, it wouldn't follow our rule of appearing on a nintendo console.

Plus, that actually was the plan before the 2010 retool, and everyone cheered when it was announced that they were gone.

I'd personally be fine with it. The character could be an Elemental Staff Fighter. Here's something I came up with for a potential move set for said character, whom I've named Titan:


Jab Combo- throws a punch, followed by a quick kick, then a bash with the staff.
Side Tilt- Thrusts the staff forward.
Up Tilt- Uppercuts with an ice-fist.
Down Tilt- Swipes his leg directly in front of him.

Neutral Air- Twirls the staff emitting sparks around him.
Front Air- Thrusts the staff emitting flame in front of him.
Back Air- Thrusts the staff emitting nothing behind him.
Up Air - Spin kicks in the air with an ice-foot.
Down Air- Goes straight down quickly with his staff creating water to push enemies around him backwards.

Side Smash- Bashes his staff which forces wind to surround it, making his opponent go flying.
Up Smash- Thrusts his staff up sideways, which jets out lightning from both ends.
Down Smash- Stabs his pole into the ground, which forces fire and ice to come up on either side of him.

Neutral Special- Charges a lightning orb in his hand which he can throw.
Side Special- Grabs his opponent and thrusts them forward with force.
Down Special- Counter similar to Marth's.
Up Special- Spins his staff as a helicopter with lightning and wind, propelling him upward.

Grabs and throws resemble Captain Falcon's and Marth's.

There's nothing wrong with this thread being open. It's fun seeing people's ideas for stuff like this.

I didn't particularly mind Spikeman, and my only real problems with Azrael were his Matrix-ripoff backstory and stricter media standards in my household at the time which also made me squeamish about Ichigo. That said, they definitely didn't fit with the game in general and I'm glad that they're gone for that reason.

There's no defending Blade and Blue, though. While I do want their theme song, Recolor the Hedgehog and Friends can just go jump in a lake.

Pretty much the same boat. Azrael was actually one of the characters I wanted to play. Spikeman was meh.

Well, it's not ssf2's own but Yeah, Jam & fury seem to have a chance since the game is coming to wii u.

I think that the only fan content that'll be added are trophies. Trophies of Spikeman, Blade, Yeah, Jam, Fury....there apart of the companies history. But nothing more than that, just trophies.

If they were to have a character from their own, I would likely put my bets on the CuBots or even Shadowy Man. (See FoS Beta Storyline for reference.)
Btw, the CuBots could be the opponents faced in Multi-Man Mode.

There was talk, very very briefly, WAY back on the old forums, of Sakuro, a character created by Cleod for his forum animation-opus Animus to appear as a playable character. Knowing what there is to know, he probably would have played not unlike Sora, given he was a modern-day, quasi-angelic swordsman with light-based powers.

There was a small window of time when this was considered a possible idea, but Cleod inevitably decided SSF and Animus were better off as separate projects, though Sakuro was still to appear in at least one of the old Flash of Shadows storylines.

We were at varying points of time supposed to also have Blade, Blue, Spikeman, Azrael and Robo-Ninja... My opinions on that matter won't be posted here, the fact is simply that at one point, they too were planned.

Anyway let's not lie we all know that if SSF2 had an original character it would be me. My stage would be Ego Island and my FS would be Ego King. Kickstart it, guys.
