Until you get used to recovering with Lucario, don't use his down special off stage, or even close to the edge. Because, in certain cases, when you counter an attack, Lucario misses the opponent (the counter part can be dodged). When that happens, you might go flying under the stage. You can almost always recover from it, but make sure to get used to recovering first.

Pikachu might come off stage and use Thunder. Other characters might use other projectiles, and Kirby might try to keep you off stage with his arials. You can counter him (which would probably KO Kirby if Kirby is damaged enough), then recover, but only if you know how to use his recovery the best. Plus it's good just to throw them off guard. EDIT: And as Thundaga mentioned, countering can help with recovery (especially when countering projectiles).
