One.

I believe most of the people here are familiar with the deadly double post lag, I am making this topic for a couple FAQ to be answered and thats about it.

1. Does someone know why this is caused if so then why?

2. Does anyone know why its happening a lot at this current time?

3. Has the problem been fixed/attempted to be fixed in the past?

4. If this problem is un-fixable possibly make a small rule to clear up any confusion
EX.
- If you experience a double-post lag/glitch please edit your last post to say Edit: Sorry unintentional double-post.

Two.

Possibly make a banner on the front page with some kind of exciting message or possibly if or when a new design is sorted out (If when) it could have some sort of welcoming message, my reasoning behind this is because this site is growing massively and I believe it needs to have a more exciting and friendly environment at first glance.

What I mean by first glance is the spam section being corrupt in some ways and you don't normally find out until you have been here awhile.

It is simply caused when someone hits the "Post Reply" button, and their internet is so laggy nothing happens for a few seconds. They hit it again, and both commands go through the system, causing a double post.

Something like that.

I don't think I understand, purrson! We are elitist, purrhaps, but we do not lack integrity- I have no idea what led you to gather we didn't, unless you mean something else entirely~

I don't think anyone is stupid enough to press it again because it didn't respond fast enough. It generally just happens when the internet drops out and the page fails to load, so people refresh, and some browsers assume you were trying to send the same request twice.

Used to happen to me a lot cuz I tended to accidentally double click things occasionally, but I haven't been doing that lately so it doesn't happen to me anymore. You just have to be patient. Sometimes the site is really busy and lag will happen, so it's always best to let the page time out before clicking again. (Max script time is 30 seconds so you will never have to wait longer than that)
