Prove it. Oh wait, you can't. He isn't actually in the game, so you have no idea how playing as him would be. Please shut the f*** up.

Well if Metroid was to get another rep, it should be him to get that spot. He's Samus' most recurring nemesis. I just don't get the "too big" argument though. Is it a balance problem (Because if people think that, they're retarded), or is it just because he appeared a certain size in the game already? (He's a different size in the Melee intro, and he's known for being cloned/reborn into different forms that differ in sizes in Metroid.) With grab/throws being a very standard mechanic, Boxer characters in every fighting game have throws (Dudley, Balrog, Steve, Akihiko). They don't really do actually tosses, or throw. Most of the time just punch them, or him them with chain on the final hit knocks them in a direction. In the F-Zero X comic, Captain Falcon does fights and it says he's trained in combat (I guess he would have to be; he was once a police officer and now is a bounty hunter), so he could be considered a fighter though he doesn't do it in his own game. In Smash Bros. though, much of his moveset seems greatly inspired by the fighting techniques from Hokuto no Ken (Fist of North-Star), probably a reference because much of Captain Falcon's look and design resembles Kenshiro's. The only move that's in Smash Bros. that he did in the comic was Falcon Punch. (And incase I didn't mention; his fast dash speed is based off him being a F-machine racer) I don't think so. Boxer characters always very have unique character-traits. Whether it is chainable attacks/specials, move extensions, special stance with defensive options. There is a lot I see you can do with him for a potential moveset. And I think you're over thinking it, or just missing some points. Well first, Smash Bros. has small movesets that are pretty straight-forward to begin with. Normals are pretty standard. Neutral-special tends to be a projectile/some charagable move. Side-special covers a distance in-front of the character and may have some recovery use. Up special is (or tends to be) something that rises up. Down-special is a move with a unique property or generally has a defensive purpose. And a side from a character unique tech or two, that's really it. When you look at every character, generally, they all are on this same basis. Smash Bros.' real complexity comes from the gameplay and how it works. Percent gauges, Platforms, Movement/mobility, Directional-Influence, spacing of attacks/sweet-spots, Ring-outs, Recovery, Tech-chases (For Melee you have even more; L-canceling, Wavedash, Wavelanding, etc.) The characters themselves are kept quite simple, but the game and how the game can be played is very deep at its core; and that's what makes the characters deep and technical. I mean, looks at Marth; all he does is swing his sword, but his Full Tipper moveset system makes him one of the most dynamic characters in the game because of how critical spacing is to his playstyle.

Ok, I'll admit. I did not know of that. Speaking of what I bolded, that again proves my point that just because a character doesn't SEEM to fit in Super Smash Bros., it doesn't mean their moves can't be, say, adjusted.

Everyone already knows that. You don't need to "prove" it.

It clearly didn't seem that everyone knew, or at least realized that it could work with Little Mac, which is why I mentioned that.

Nobody said Little Mac couldn't be in the game.
They said they didn't want him to be in the game.

They said they didn't want him in the game because they felt like he couldn't be in the game. Not without being teh genericks, in any case.

Well, someone had specifically mentioned that, as a boxer, Little Mac wouldn't fit in the game. I was arguing against that statement.

Then there is that argument of the problem of transitioning a character from a fighting game into Smash.

Punch-Out!! isn't really a fighting game, though.
And if it was, that'd mean the character would already have a moveset and everything. I don't see what the "problem" is.

Can we please stop talking about Little Mac's potential to be in the game? Anyways, I would like to see how good the online is going to be.

Online... Is THAT the million dollar question.
I'll admit that it's the only reason I bought Brawl, so you can bet I was disappointed.

Obviously the online is going to be better, in fact they already had better online services for other games by the time Mario Kart Wii came out, so they've got to be at least better than that now right?

Indeed. If they were able to get an online service that could support 6 player battling in Kid Icarus: Uprising, there is no excuse for an online to actually exist in SSB4.
