Worst comes to worst, Capcom is more than capable of making small scale games and stagger their spendings. ~150 million can go a long way, especially in the handheld/mobile world.

oh yeeahhh i wasn't even thinking about mobile gaming
in that case they should probably work with ninty for a bit making games for 3DS
...or maybe with sony still cause the vita seems like it could use some more games

in my opinion megaman is a pretty important franchise, but thinking megaman is the most important of capcom is just silly, taken up from a stupid nostalgia. Capcom doesn't really have a nº1 franchise, but apart from megaman you have Resident Evil, Steet Fighter, Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, and much more.
