You didn't address the fact that Smash 3DS is different from Smash Wii U because of Special Orders, Classic mode, Smash run, Smash Tour, and StreetSmash.

The two versions have the exact same core in a different wrapper. The differences between them are too minor to the gameplay itself to matter.

And I'm still not understanding this concept. Is there a significant difference in the actual gameplay of any of the games? Really all I'm seeing is different airdodge. I don't really see any difference in speed

as an example, brawl generally has slower movement speeds, air speeds, and the way attacks are designed lends it towards slower gameplay. the differences may not be noticeable immediately but if you put a lot of time into any of the games and pick up another, i guarantee you'll notice it being a lot faster/slower.
EDIT: oh wait he's still talking about smash 4, 3ds doesnt even have a different airdodge from wii u lol, whats your deal
