You're walking down a corridor, someone jumps out in front and fires a highly sensitive heat seeking rocket - BOOM!! - death There isn't really a way of surviving some things short of being something like a hologram or shadow clone | | | | |
Example 1, Is your character not perceptive enough to become aware of those subtle inklings in the environment telling them of an incoming threat? The glare off of a scope, feeling unsettled? the faint c*** of a lever? These are all things you can be CREATIVE and listen in on before a shot is fired, to prepare your character. And when it is, are you not creative enough to know how to dodge? take cover? return fire? No? Then that isn't on me and hampering doesn't change the situation. If you look at RP's ive done with the rifle of hers, this has ALL gone into play. Example 2, The mines diving into the ground would pillow up the soil. It'd be easy to see the ground had been disrupted, toyed with, it sticks out. Is your character perceptive enough to note this? Avoid this? Act accordingly? Again, its being creative that's a counter measure. There ARE no insta-kills. Example 3 - Doesnt apply to Nini As far as shadow clones go, Niniva has none, however her 'moving shadows' ability is entirely preventable, and counter-able. It takes 1 turn to conjure the spell, and another to put it to use. They're also destructible. Again, this isnt 'insta' anything. There is no cheapness, Only creativity. It's what RP is about. Is it too much to handle? Niniva is a character that uses utility and cunning to be victorious. She is not incredibly durable, nor very physically strong. She's technical because she needs to be.

By Nini's logic, it is entirely possible to take on a battle tank, or an attack chopper as those things are not meant to be crewed by only one person. It would be unfair of me to bring a fully crewed piece of kit and have at you. After all I only use one character that I come up with on the spot.

It is. And by my logic, ive done plenty of RP. And have lost just as much as i won. That level of play is just too much for some people.

Not going to be using either weapon regardless >> was only making a case for them. The mines are for brutish, lumbering opponents and the rifle is for harassing a single target from afar before getting into the real meat of the battle. With three people in total and no large, slow targets. Neither are viable. As for location. Only idea i have is an old abandoned temple. Since i never got to finish with Zesper and that was a neat location =X Anything you propose, will be just fine.

I do want a little piece of this. If this was a temple, I know what character would come up with.

The messenger of the temple's god?
My proposal was a hi-jacked cargo ship 'the Emma Maersk'. It was robbed and while the thieves wouldn't have been able to go for very long without being caught, assorted people (ie. our characters) try to find it for whatever reason (Clear could have found some reason to suspect that the person who kidnapped was somehow connected to the theft, Bellos (the character I'll be using), could be using it as a training excercise etc.)
Sorry Nini, does Niniva have a bio?

It looks like my 2 way battle evolved into a 6 way one That means that the current list is: Me - Bellos Nini -Niniva Halsoy - Clear The Useless Guy - ? Doromac - Akshon Thaiberium - ? btw, was the location idea any good? NOTE: as of now I will be refusing any more entrants, I don't especially refusing it (as seen above) but I don't want it to get overcrowded and lose track of people, resulting in walking past someone without realising they're there

Trust me. It'll be better if you replaced him with Kebin. Also, I'll use Akshon. I haven't got to use him yet, and I want to see how well he'll do against others.

By the look of things (s)he's not even returning... If he doesn't reply by tomorrow, Kebin can take his place. Sounds fair?
