I found out how to shield drop on keyboard.
This might be common knowledge but i was prett excited to find it.
Step 1) Have a dash button
Step 2) Go to platform
Step 3) Hold shield and dash button
Step 4) Press down
ta-da.
if unnecessary i'll delete later

Interesting. I don't know what I'd set to my dash key though.

well, i use WASD for movement (tap jump yes.) and keypad 1,2,3 and enter for attack,special,shield and grabing, so i just set 0 as dash and it works well.

I use Space ASD for movement (Tap jump), the normal buttons, Shift for pause and L as dash. Works kinda good.

if you use WASD then just put dash key for E

I use WASD with tap jump, and space for dash. If E is your dash button, you can't dash dance.

This is how you really set up a keyboard for Smash:
W = Up
A = Left
S = Down
D = Right
F = Attack
G = Special
H = Block
T = Grab
Space = Jump
JKLI = C-stick
R = Taunt
Shift = Dash

Something I'd like would be to change sidestepping to shield+up and letting us shield drop without a dash key with shield+double tap down.

that would prevent tap jump players from "jumping out-of-shield".

i think he meant as an option in the control menu.
