Where is haiti located at?

The Carribeans.

It is on the same island as the Dominican Republic; Haiti is the western portion of the island. It is located to the south-east of Cuba.

I just heard the amount gathered by programs for Haiti;

America : 57 million dollars (info gotten here : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8477288.stm )
Belgium : 9.3 million euros (13 million dollars)
The Netherlands : 83 million euros (117 million dollars)

I think almost every country is donating money there

The funny thing is, Thailand was praised for its quote, "humanitarian efforts". They certainly weren't saying that when we were deporting the Hmong.

In fairness to the Belgians and the Americans, I should add half of those 83 million euros are provided by the state (which would double the amount of the donations on that particular day).

Of course more money has been raised by now.

Also, euros are more valuable than dollars.

I thought it was bad when a level 7 earthquake hit, but it must suck that after all that, a S-wave hit them again at level 6.

True, but half it, and it's still shocking how much a country of about 16 million people collected compared to my country, or even America... Credit goes where credit's due, those Dutchies give a lot to the right causes.
