Brawl was the only game without L-Cancelling. Kinda like how Brawl was the only game with tripping. Trippings gone again, so that could mean something. yeah who am i kidding

64 didn't have L-canceling either; it had Z-canceling. Unlike L-cancel which cut landing lag in half, Z-cancel removed all landing. There is a huge difference between making a move have 12 frames of landing lag, and making a move have 0 frames of landing lag.

@Tid: Melee and 64 also had auto-canceling.

i know, i was specifying that they were in ssf2 and brawl though because those games dont have l-cancelling unlike melee and kind of 64

@niayre they should definitely not bring back z-cancelling lol

I was told that SSF2 has automatic L-canceling.

Also why not tid?

Because no one wants to see Link do a D-air (or any move) with no landing lag. The same goes for all characters.

Hey, I've been wondering something about Geno. On his sig, where all the confirmed SSB4 characters are, since you first made it, why did you leave 21 spaces for characters?

What will you do if more than 21 characters are revealed before the game is released?

Rather, how will you change it?

i'd imagine that he would either
1. make another image and put it next to it
2. just expand the original image

Currently Playing: A lot of Nintendo games as if there's no end.
The release date of DC:TF in Japan is set to be the first release worldwide, being on February 13, so, should we expect something big from Sakurai-san on that day? I mean, that game is made by a western studio, should that affect Sakurai's opinion in a way as it's not completely Japanse? Gosh! that sounded racist...

Not really, he stated during Brawl development he wanted to also focus on western popularity; Kinda like how Lucas was from a Japan only game.

I wonder why Yoshi is always the last of the 8 SSB64 starters to be revealed....
It's confirmed the roster will be no more than 35 characters, possibly due to the 3ds space limitations.
if they accidentally only use half the memory of the cart, what should they do with the other half?(that's how Zelda's Second Quest came to be.)

Don't post if you can't find a valid source. They never said there would be no more than 35 characters.

Congratulations, you've been fooled by a common Sakurai misquote

It won't be the last time
