Hello everyone,
I've been kind of been on a losing streak on Anther's and feel I need some advice about how to be more agressive and how to space more effectively. There's a tourney coming up on the 10th I'm participating in and I'm kind of starting to doubt I'd get far. I'm taking this post seriously so please no bs.

An insightfully predictable chime from Vash...

In all seriousness, who do you play? And who do you tend to lose to? The biggest key to improving is asking yourself "Why did I lose this?" Check the replay and keep that question in mind. It could be needing to learn an MU, learn your own character, or improve fundamentals. Check those cumulative mistakes that led to losing neutral, missing punishes, dying, etc.

Ur wack.

Ok so in all seriousness, I think this video will help you out.
YouTube Video:

TL;DR, learn how to condition and read your opponent. This is the number one most important thing in playing well in the competitive scene.
And this is not the only video that you can watch to improve your skills. There are videos from this guy, Izaw, Bowler, Zero, and several other professional smash players that teach you advanced techniques, tips for general or specific play, and advice for playing better overall.
Hope I helped!

Yeah, these are some things I need to think about before the tournament starts on Sunday. Thank you!

Interesting. I actually main both :goku: and :bowser: so it's good to know those two are good for both spacing and the agressive playstyle. Thanks!

 This is officially Melee. But good tips anyway.

Now onto another question. For anyone that has played me, what mistakes have I made that were predictable?
