This is just for people who need help in RPG Maker XP, VX, 2k3, etc. I like to help other RPG Maker users! Someone who needs help first posts: -Which RPG Maker their using -Question they want to ask and then people who do have that will try to help the person with their question. -Person's name who is asking -Answer DaveSniper308 Please don't post about 2k3 being better then XP or the other way around because that is your opinion and not the truth.

Which RPG Maker has side view battle? I tried XP and I hated the battle style.

I dont mean to be the dissenter but VX had a front view battle style too on the default mode. Just with no battler pic option in the default game. 2k3 the only one to my knowledge with a side view system on default

I do too, not really for the understanding though personally. i find VX alot more user friendly in fact, and the dungeon generator is great. in the end though, i just decided against it. Combination of reasons. Firstly, i hated the fact there were no default battlers. the script to put them in made it a bit too complex and i wasn't looking for a hassle just to put in a character pic.. i found the graphics too cartoony but bearable. ut the tile selection per game is waaay too small. only what? 5-6 sets? compared to XP's unlimited? same thing with icons. I couldn't find that many resources either. Despite the fact i liked drain spells were already pre-installed in the software, the fact they downsized the amount of stats from 6 to 4, (which thwarted my wanting to make weapons that increase 1 thing but decrease another.. since they both come from the same stat) as well as some other little details, was enough to make me fed up. i went back to XP

I still like RPG Maker 2000. It's my favorite to work with. I never really attempted to use RPG Maker XP.

2k3, how do you add characters onto the map? like NPCs? Is it possible, or no.
