KH1. It was a self-contained classic, before the story became terrible.

It represents a very simple and clean time for the series. (Interestingly enough)

Seriously, why do so few people like Days? Its storyline was heartrending and the panel system was somewhat of a puzzle at times.

Plus, the lack of any outside function like the Reaction System or Flowmotion, and the lack of real customization easily puts 1 near the bottom for me, but that's just my personal opinion. That doesn't make it bad though, since it did have a lot of really cool moments. I loved the Tarzan world a lot.


I think people do like Days, lol. It's third in the poll. To me though there are just others that beat it out, like 2 and 3D.

Needless complexity =/= depth

I'll give you the simplicity thing, but it doesn't bother me much.

i agree the story was much cleaner in kh1 but the rest of the game was worse

the story in kh1 was a disney story
the story in every other one is total s***, be honest folks you're embarrassed by it even when you're alone

kh1 game play was much more interesting than the button mashing s*** of kh2, the rudimentary strategy s*** of com, and the clunky beat-em-up stuff in days

3D is really the only one that could be considered near/at/above it without being total f***

agree about story do not agree about gameplay
i really thought a lot of the combat stuff in 1 was clunky and felt messy in general, deaths were often not your fault (especially on the hardest difficulty) etc.
but yeah com sucked lol

1 was much more similar to FF than any of the other games

Regardless of what they add to it, KH's gameplay always kinda ends up being "Mash X until you can maybe do a special thing"

2 had a better, wider variety of special things, and I like the customization of 3D. Still, I don't have a problem with the more limited combat in KH1. Game's top notch.

I... can find no argument for this. Only thing I'm iffy about is 3D's customization, and thats just because I have yet to get the money for it.
