I was listening to John Zorn and I saw a collaboration with Mike Patton on the side. I don't even like Patton but he works with such ridiculously good musicians and I was curious as to what it would sound like.
It's alright, probably prefer it instrumental but it actually works pretty well.

i've only heard john zorn in Naked City, and this is as far from that as you can get, but i really liked it.

why don't you like Mike Patton?

from Mr. Bungle to Fantomas, there must be SOMETHING you can enjoy from his career.

I like the works he's involved in certainly. I liked Lovage quite a bit, Mr. Bungle was f*** awesome, Tomahawk was a pretty great combination of metal and native american music, blah blah blah. I have positive things to say about almost all of the projects he's been involved in. Him as a vocalist and musician isn't particularly appealing to me. I draw a disconnect between him and what he's involved in.
Well, I actually did really like his vocals in Kaada/Patton. Really great.

Lapse - Headful of Static

I've always been a fan of the guitar in Lapse's music.

deathconsciousness is a good "i feel like s***" album but i listen to it when i'm not sad as well just because it's very enjoyable musically
