I'm predicting a sort of time element in the new game, since they did space. A mix of Mario and Braid would be pretty damn cool.

Not so much like Partners in Time, but like how Mario has to solve puzzles and traverse the world by slowing time, stopping it, rewinding it, etc.

I'm thinking along the lines of Mario being able to control time whenever and isn't effected by it, but its limited so that he can't just reverse time constantly to never be hit by anything. Like maybe there's a waterfall and Mario needs to reverse time and jump into the current to get somewhere high up.

I had completely forgotten about Blinx, but that kinda is what I'm describing isn't it. I still think it sounds like it would be cool in a Mario game.
