Really? I kinda like the shoulders. Unless you were aiming for more of a tougher, to which you should of made his shoulders smidge higher up.

The shoulder's shading gives the impression that its almost like a doll/figure. It needs to connect more to the rest of the shirt coming up. For example: Arel, in his sig, except maybe more rounded for your character.

The shading is inconsistent. The colors are boring. Go contrast and hue shifting.

Incredible King K. Rool sprite, dude. The only real flaw, I think, is the shading, but only in a few parts.

The green almost never changes hue. The stomach color has poor contrast. Black outlines. No shadow shading. Pillowed. Dull and boring. Needs anti-aliasing. Stomach skin thingy doesn't need an outline.

Truly, I think you're very biased in the sense that you're only accepting of things that match your personal preference. If you look at it from an unbiased view, the only problem is in the shading. Light source gets kinda confusing around the torso/arms area. I think the pallete works fine, but a little more contrast in the gold would work wonders for that crown. I can predict someone's comment: "You think the pallete's fine because your palletes are just even worse." Such a predictable little forum...

The palette is bad because your palettes are bad. The palette is very bland for K. Rool. With his normally vibrant colours and overall vibrant appearance.

I know, I ashamed myself.
