I noticed on Discord that most of 's new costume origins have been revealed, but this one with gray overalls, pink clothes, and slightly brighter skin is still a mystery.



Apparently, this costume is a reference to a character who isn't a part of Mario's or Wario's games, and they aren't a Nintendo character either. Despite this, they do somehow technically have a connection to Wario, and the resemblance between the character and this costume is "uncanny".

So I wanted to help the cause to find the origin, since the developers are keeping their lips sealed on the matter. So if anyone wants to take a guess, I'd like to hear it below.

Probably a reference to Tatanga from Super Mario Land. The purple hat and shirt reference Tatanga's body color, and the gray overalls reference Tatanga's vehicle.

Don't really think it's Tatanga as he's still considered a Mario character (and thus, a Nintendo character).

Robbie's purple and red, that doesn't really match the pink and gray

clearly a reference to those wario shaped ecstasy pills they found in japan

I don't know why that exactly happened in my mind as well when I considered the possibilities.

A palette swap character from the old screenshots threads (originating from me misspelling drugs as durgs and running with it). We had lots of those. (The HBB being the most "popular") Good times!
