What gives you that idea when it's borderline worse then ToS2? Reused environments most you don't even need to go to, bad character design, bland main character, tryhard dark story that's poorly made.

I still had fun with it. I'm not nearly as into it as other Tales titles but I'm not displeased with it.

disregarding the fact that you're assuming that i think that it's a good story (which i never said) i can work with that response! so here is what i think about all that:

connor is not a shell of a character. he's immature and whiny yes. but he's human, and he's portrayed as an imperfect being. his personality is real, in other words
in that sense he feels a bit more authentic to me than ezio; not saying ezio is a bad character or anything, cause ezio is f*** cool. requiescat in pace you know
and while there's like, zero character development in AC3, that isn't necessarily a bad thing; sometimes people cant or wont change. like i said above, authentic
as for the 2012 missions i never gave two f*** about em, tbh. nor desmond. his story even ended up being unnecessary since he ended up dead! but i dont think people don't buy asassins's creed games for the current day missions anyway lmao

i admit that 3 is possibly the worst entry in the series, but it was decent in some aspects, such as having a pretty nicely rendered world and a good amount of freedom.
also the combat was decent and i never had too many problems. notice that i didn't say it was "good" or "perfect" because it did have its problems. but it was decent overall
also i like the soundtrack a lot (especially the main theme holy s***), connor's design is like the second or third coolest, and his weapon choice is objectively top tier

tl;dr the game wasn't that bad objectively, but even if it was, it's still moderately fun

the combat in all the assassins creed games is so f*** boring and effortless

how can one game's combat be worse than another's when they're all the same

cause they fix problems in each installment but sometimes fixing things breaks others
and sometimes they're just lazy or just can't fix everything

either ubisoft needs a smaller team so they make less mistakes or they need better devs

tos2's a fun game

I completely agree. It was fun in it's own way even though it was incredibly different from it's predecessor. One of the biggest "arguments" for why it was bad was that you couldn't switch both Emil and Marta out of the party.. But to be honest, that didn't bother me too much.

Yet a good amount of the Tales of community thinks this.
ToS2 is the perfect example of prime booty milk.

When a company is developing a game they not only take into consideration the wants and need or their primary "community" but they also take a long hard look at how to draw in potential customers who might not have played their previous titles. Just because we have(you and I) doesn't mean each and every person who has played TOS2 has. Just because you didn't think much of it doesn't mean it wasn't the world to somebody else. It's all opinionated.

Please don't try to pretend the game with an atrocious battle system, bad gimmicks and overall considered terrible by many fans is good.
