patchouli in touhou 8 gave me a run 4 my money when i was younger. i struggled with the capra demon in dark souls 1 for a hot minute too. also the final boss of ninja gaiden 1 was pretty tough when i first played that game at like 16, i remember it taking me a couple of days to figure out his stupid pattern on his second form. uhhhh final boss of cuphead was pretty rough

Oh yeah that's right hardest boss for me in more recent years would be Ninja Gaiden 3's final boss. The one boss where I've actually given up trying to beat because no matter what I try those non-stop enemy hordes just keep on whittling down my health and it just becomes a tedious slog rather than a fair and fun challenge

I like how you put this in spoilers, because the fight is literally just muscle memory once you've done it you can do it again as much as you want pretty much. undyne in genocide I find harder because everything is random _________________  |

sans is the boss equivalent of shaggy being memed to his position as hardest boss
Thinking back, the Creature and Igor from Castlevania 1 was a really hard boss to beat. Not only does Igor hop around like crazy but he throws fireballs too. i haven't attempted it since 2012, but the clyde boss fight in pac man world 2 got me to quit that game lol

Related to this one: I spent at least 3 consecutive hours trying to beat the final boss of Birth By Sleep as Terra and nearly threw my PSP multiple times. Wonder if it would be any easier now that I'm not 14 anymore, lol. _________________
