Well considering the only dlc brawl veteran so far was almost a 100% port from brawl I would be very surprised to see the omission of wolf.

I always found Wolf quite boring, i fully acknowledge he's not even considered a semi clone of Fox because of how different his attacks are, but come on guys Different =/= unique
I'm perfectly fine with Falco

I feel like he was an incredibly unique character including most of his specials, I don't really understand his negative stigma.

I don't either. Wolf's normals are completely different and his claw blaster and wolf flash have completely different mechanics than Fox or Faco's specials.

For that matter, I don't understand why people call Lucas a clone either. Yeah, he has the same physics as Ness but they're both Mother characters so I can understand that, especially when his normals are completely different and his specials also work differently from Ness.

For people calling them clones, they have very little--if any--recycled programming compared to the ones in Melee and Smash 4.

I prefer Slippy than Wolf for the troll factor.What really want is to see a character I dont know that is cool and makes want to buy and play whatever that game came from. That's the best experience I had in all smash bros games until 4 because I know them all (which its not a bad thing)

So people are thinking that Shovel Knight is confirmed for the game because his amiibo was mistakenly listed as being compatible with Smash on Nintendo's website. I honestly don't believe that especially considering that the error was rectified within hours and that Yacht Club themselves said it was a mistake.

ZSS amiibo for ducktales remastered. Dr. Mario amiibo for splatoon. Toad amiibo for smash. These are all errors by the stupid site, nothing more.

Also, I hold a firm belief that if Shovel Knight was in smash bros (he isn't) they would have held off on producing the janky amiibo that got put out in favor of the smash bros one that he would receive being a DLC dude.

If Smash 4 ever gets an indie rep, Shantae would make a lot more sense. Shantae's been around for over a decade, her first two games were exclusive to Nintendo consoles, and her third is getting a Japanese localization. Take this with a grain of salt but Sakurai would definitely go with her over Shovel Knight whose only game is multiplatform and isn't available in Japan.
