Not particularly to the plot however the way he was introduced made me feel he is going to be the Marvel CU figurehead after Robert Downey Jr leaves. Ironman is like an Obiwan to him in this film, and has been confirmed for the first Spidey film next year

Considering Spiderman being a figurehead... Wasn't he always the Marvel figure head post-namor?

God damn the Russo brothers know how to make good action film.

Saw it tonight with Deph. I watched Ultron the night before and got like half way through Ant Man.

Good stuff:

Every action scene was pretty good.
Spiderman and Black Panther were great.
There weren't nearly as many cringey one liners/jokes during fights, probably because Joss Whedon didn't write it.
I liked Zemo a lot and like how he pretty much won.
I actually liked Hawkeye for once and didn't think he was super boring.
I thought "I don't care. He killed my mom" was a really neat line because it made the "twist" more effective.

Dumb stuff:
Everyone seemingly forgetting/forgiving Scarlet Witch killing tons of people via Hulk in Ultron is kinda surprising.

I understand why they do it but both Scarlet Witch and Vision hold back a lot because if they both used their full power it would pretty much be just a fight between them. When Doctor Strange gets introduced I have a feeling they'll do the same with him because he can banish people to different dimensions if he wants.

The editing/cut in the scene where it shows Black Panther following Cap and Bucky in a jet was unintentionally hilarious.

I wish Rhodey (or anyone) had died. Not because I dislike him or anything but it's getting to the point where the action feels like it has low stakes because the writers wont kill anyone, even someone who had a fall that f*** huge.

Idk that's really all I can think of off the top of my head. Good movie overall.
I really don't think they can get away with solo stories without other Avengers anymore, but it seems like they aren't trying anyway with Iron Man confirmed for Spiderman and Hulk confirmed for Thor 3 which is nice. I hope someone shows up in Guardians 2. I'm actually excited for Avengers 3 to see how everyone makes up to fight Thanos.

Yeah I wish someone had died. Literally no consequences. Was really sad that Ant-Man was put in jail (especially due to his motivations in his own film). Despite breaking out, will he see his daughter? and why didn't he actually utilize ants in his fight scene? Wasted potential tbh (that's not saying he isn't amazing in the fight)
