SSF2 Beta on Linux immediately crashes

I'm on a 64-bit Ubuntu Xenial install. I have installed Flash and extracted Beta. However, when I try to run

, the window appears briefly then closes. I'm probably missing an obvious answer but what can I do to fix this?
