You know, I could see an SSB for the DS working. Percentages on the bottom screen whilst having the gameplay on the top screen, or even vice versa would work. It would probably not be side-by-side from my thoughts.
One thing I want to see back are the stock icons. I missed those.

I like the images of the characters better.

Maybe in this installment, we can finally see the rest of Master Hand (the body that controls the hand) or at least learn some more about the thing other than he came from some other dimension.

I'm really doubting that. If they wanted to do that, they woulda done it for Brawl, probably.

Why, whats wrong with him being just a hand, i mean look at Glover...

What they need to do is go back to the SSB design where it looks like he is just a glove, and not the recent designs where it looks like his "arm" fades away into nothing.

Well, I meant that the lack of a Circle Pad really kills the feel for the console-based series (I support a 3DS version, but only because it does in fact have that Circle Pad). One thing I still don't feel will be right is the button placement on the 3DS. The button layout is more for platformer games and combo-esque fighting games. In other words, not the freestyle fighting that SSB has always had (and obviously will still have). But that's just my opinion.

Get used to playing with the Classic Controller, and you wont be saying that anymore. Its practically the same as using a SNES controller (except with analogs). And plus has the same exact button layout as the SNES and DS buttons. It can work.

True, Thundaga, however isn't it just like playing with your keyboard (not the button layout but the control pad and the lack of control of the speed of your character, which is usually important in many cases)? The button layout I might get used to, it seems a bit hard but you are right, I will get used to it. One thing I would like to add is this: I really wonder how they're going to implement the gyroscope/accelerometer feature on the WiiU/3DS (because you know they will probably do something like the Shake Smash for Brawl, which didn't always to what you want anyways and was unable to charge at all).

Eh, I never used the nunchuk for Brawl anyway. I always played with just the wiimote.

I always use the Nunchuck + Wiimote. I tried it with the WiiMote alone, but I'm too comfortable with the former.

I always use the GC controller because it doesn't need batteries unlike the other controller types.

Unfortunately, they said the Wii U won't be backwards-compatible with anything Gamecube, and I don't think you can plug a GC controller into a 3DS.
