Hey, links that are put into spoiler tags a little visible, which kind of defeats the purpose of spoiler-ing them....
Like so. http://forums.mcleodgaming.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=14943&start=180
Perhaps the spoiler tags could force the text to be black?

ALSO: Pointing at the black won't brighten up the link at all.

First off, why would you hide a link?

Second, it brightens it up a few shades.

http://www.dumbledoredies.com

HE DOES???

EDIT: FAILURE

In the code it's supposed to force the color to black, but it won't work since the style sheet overrides the url colors. Ugh, how to fix something like this? /:|

Why? What can a link spoil, in the first place?

Only clicking it can spoil stuff, unless you're a clot that puts the spoiler in the URL.

Like uploading an image called "Jesus Dies" or something...

I posted this on the previous page :hmph:

To fix it, could you change the spoiler colour to match the URL colour? For other text, it could also be changed to that colour when the spoiler tags are selected

It's not that simple, since the URL color is defined in the style sheet, which means it is overridden no matter what I put in html or BBCode in the utilities provided in phpBB

Which is stupid because then the spoiler color will be different from normal text color.

And I ask you again, WHATS THE USE?

Spoiler text is meant to hide normal text, not a damn URL.

I'm sorry, but am I missing something here?

If the spoiler tags involved using CSS in HTML (I thought I heard DT mumbling about CSS somewhere before when dealing with box tags), then that's not that hard. You'd just set the URL colour to match without messing with the text colour at all.

Everyone's missing the big point here...

WHY?

You're telling me that someone who wanted to be an a** and spoil something would make a fake URL, instead of, you know...

JESUS DIES!

Saying it like that?

You could change the text colour for spoilers (like normally changing the colour but it is automated)

The only thing we can do is to highlight the text in the spoiler, and change it to black..

before:

http://www.mcleodgaming.com

after:

[url=http://www.mcleodgaming.com][/url]

You might just have to use that workaround, since I don't think there's any way to detect the url tags in there
