basically there's a madoka mode where one character is a magi, one player is kyubey, and a last student is depressed. there's anywhere from one to thirteen extra players without roles. be warned a second time there's a couple MADOKA SPOILERS that you can find out by putting two and two together.



kyubey can make contracts with people, but only if they are the same gender as the original magi. so if the magi is a guy and you're a girl, you're f***, you stand around and die and that's the end of it. you're nothing more than a watcher by this point.
when the depressed student commits suicide, a witch is spawned from them. more often than not, this witch will need three magi to be killed give or take. are there ways around this? yeah. but get this: there's MORE luck involved.
if the witch is in a spot you can't reach by any means? you gotta wait for it to come out which could potentially never happen. if you can't find the witch? tough s***, you have no way to find it other than looking, no hints.
what if kyubey doesn't do their job? well you're f***, you're on your own! 1v1 that witch and lose, it's game over for you.

so let's say you're fighting the witch. what's that? you're dead? you're a witch now! you're ai controlled and you just f*** over your allies more. assuming everyone is the same gender, that makes 14 potential magi, one kyubey, and one depressed student, the worst you can let things get is three witches. by then, you'll only have 11 magi. one more dies and becomes a witch? you're f***.



now what's worse is that the person who made this mode refuses to attempt to balance it. they said they lowered the difficulty before, then people said it was too easy. then they raised it and people said it's too hard.
ummm, this PROBABLY MEANS you're making too large of changes. if a character in a fighting game is underpowered, you don't give them all 1HKO moves. this is not balancing. buffing/nerfing is not synonymous with balance.
even then, as a few other people were saying it was too hard, they brought up the amazing argument of "i can beat it just fine, the magi never lose when i'm there."
well that's nice, maybe smogon should have that mentality. "i can beat mewtwo y, rayquaza, and arceus in a 3v3 so they shouldn't be banned"
