idk that one seems fun There are a few I won't bother getting (online largely) but I'm gonna at least make an attempt at all the others. I managed to get 3 kills in Cruel Smash by pure luck, & Century Smash as Ken with all special moves took a few tries as well (just because I kept accidentally killing Miis with ledge climb attacks) idk they're fun lil challenges. Far better than in Wii U I think, although that's largely because Wii U's single payer modes were trash

i have been playing jrpgs. digital devil saga 1 is good but there is a really annoying boss fight in it that i have to grind to beat. you should not have to grind in a megami tensei game

oh I've already done most of them, I just meant that seeing that one was enough for me to not 100% them they're way better than they were in any of the previous games

god I wish they still had trophies I haven't played the game yet but do you guys feel there's much replayability in smash ultimate, ignoring how many characters there are? I still have this slight nagging feeling in the back of my head that I never got all the trophies in brawl, this game that I loved as a 10 year old I never completed. would totally replay it to accomplish this if I had the time and opportunity

yeah as much as i like ultimate replay value ain't its best part
trophies got very stale by the time Smash Wii U arrived but i still like those more than collecting PNGs of characters i really wish they hadn't took the route of one upping the past game in terms of collectibles (melee had about 200, brawl had 500, wii u had like 700) cause that most likely took them to ditching trophies entirely by the time ultimate came out i'd have been happy with them just keeping a similar number to brawl's and stuff.
also i like the new classic mode but i really miss randomized classic modes cause i liked replaying those, like melee or smash 3DS had classic mode gets boring once you already beat it with all chars

it really didn't well, not entirely smash ultimate launched worldwide on the same day in like 10 different languages i don't think finally having a worldwide launch for the game where they don't have to translate hundreds and hundreds of trophies is a coincidence i'll gladly abandon trophies for not having to wait months to play the game like i did for brawl

Agreed. Many of the trophy descriptions weren't that great either Not great enough to make it worth the wait, anyway I don't think "it gets boring after you play it 80 times" is really a fair criticism

oh yeah i forgot about the descriptions nvm that point then, trophies can stay out if more time can be spent in the game itself
also bad wording from me on the classic mode part
it's not that it gets boring after playing 80 times but it's that, in the long run, replaying the mode with your favorite character can get boring because the fights are all the same with that character. I wish they had implemented a "random" mode so you can have 7 random fights before fighting off Master and/or Crazy Hand, like how past games did
I know this is very minor, but it's a complaint i have with how classic mode functions now

well at the very least it's a million times better than wii u's classic mode
i still can't believe they thought that was a good idea

yeah i also agree it's a million times better than "guys try out 8 player smash!!!!" mode i hate the modes in Wii U so much
in other news i just started playing Pokémon Platinum (i didn't get a DS family console (3DS) until gen 5 so i missed out on that one) i like how in platinum you can actually catch an electric or grass type right at the start of the game

Recently in Ultimate, things have been getting a bit difficult. I reached Final Galeem after I beat Final Dharkon to a pulp, and Final Galeem is a bit more difficult than Final Dharkon. The shockwaves are really hard to dodge, even if you use Kirby's Down-B, and it rarely uses the attack where it summons an energy silhouette of a random fighter. I only got it to happen once, but I died because of the unavoidable shockwave attack. And speaking of crazy hard bosses, in Pokemon Emerald, the second (or third, depending if you battled her in Rustboro City or not) battle with May is harder than the video playthroughs on YouTube showed me. Her lineup for the second or third battle for me, since I chose Mudkip as my starter, is Wingull, Grovyle and Slugma. I managed to beat Wingull on the second attempt (on the first one she sent back her Wingull.), but man, is her Grovyle HARD! No matter how much damage you do, it mainly uses Absorb and saps your HP. Other attacks her Grovyle uses are Fury Cutter, Pursuit and Quick Attack, but it rarely uses these. This is one of the hardest bosses in gaming for me and I can't seem to beat her. Please help!

Grass is weak to Flying. Do you have a Flying type on your team?
