Hey
I'll be entering and I have a question.
Are you allowed to submit more than one song?

I assume 1 per user, but I'll wait for official confirmation on that.

I'm considering entering this contest, but I don't know if I'll have enough free time to do this. Schoolwork is starting to pile up a bit, but if I have time, I'll try this.
If I do enter, it will most likely be done in Finale PrintMusic...

Just wondering... Do the attachments actually work? I never managed to get them running

No, only one of course.

Yes 1 per user, and no problem, that's why I gave you all a full month to give you plenty of time to work on it. Just make sure the final product is MP3 and you're good.

Nope, they don't work.

I'd suggest just putting it on an upload site.

Yes, please use an upload site for now. I may try to get the upload feature working for MP3's a bit later. And will you be entering DVDV?

Anyway I will update the rules with the answers to the questions that just came up.

I wish I could use that music software you PM'd me, Cleod, but I have issues with my parents and the computer, so....I won't be able to enter this one. But if I could, I'd make something epic

But, I have my fingers crossed for the next contest (hopefully something to do with writing)

Ill be entering, but I have a question. Does the melody you gave us, have to be in the exact same tempo? Like, that's really slow.. and you said we can have any genre, and if I'm doing an uptempo hard rock song. It would be hard to go at 80bpm. Also, in the beginning of my song I'm going to have your melody but with my twist on it. I wont be disqualified as long as later in the song the melody is the same right?

Yeah, I'll enter

Let's see if all those music lessons paid off

Although I wish that it was in a major key.

I'll enter, but I can't start work until my computer is in a state where it'll do more than show a blank screen.

Art next most likely. I'll make sure to have enough variety so that everyone gets an oppurtunity to enter in something.

Well you would need to learn how to use the software as well don't forget, and I can't help you there. But yeah, look forward to the next contest!

Tempo doesn't matter, as stated you can use whatever tempo you want. The files provided are purely for reference.

But as long as you use the original melody once somewhere in your piece you're good.

Although I wish that it was in a major key.

As long as you use the melody once in its original key, it's ok to modulate to other keys if you'd like, major or minor.

Alright, good luck with that =\
