I see, what you're doing is trying to make the power come from the foot, when in a kick, most of the power behind it comes from the hip, so major hip movement is a must. Currently from your WIP it looks like she is turning her back as she attempts a back kick. Honestly the big problem here is the WIP has so little it's hard tell what's even trying to happen in it. Hmm, also, in the WIP is the line below her waist signifying her butt? Because if it is her feet are backwards. In the future it would be nice if the blocking was more complete so we could give you better advice.

can you do what you did with the hair's outlines and apply that to the black outlines?
I feel like the black interrupts the flow of the sprite's colors

I can do that, but that's how the style works. On VGR someone suggested making the entire outline black. I agreed, but the reason why I haven't been doing that is because I wanted to stay in the boundaries of the style before manipulating it.

Small update. Gave her longer bangs. The only thing that's bothering me is her damn eyes. I know that how the style works, but those adorable big eyes can't be made in it. ;~;
