Remember when the six games for EVO were revealed, and there was a seventh spot reserved for Melee? Mr. Wizard and the EVO staff were waiting for Nintendo to give them permission to host and stream the Melee tournament. Now that they have permission, Melee was officially added to the EVO 2014 roster. Considering the fact that they now have permission from Nintendo, they aren't gonna try to stop the tournament and/or stream. MLG also got permission to run a Melee tournament from Nintendo. _________________

Well from the last tournaments; we already know M2K is going to show. Mango won Evo last year, he just won revival of Melee so he is most likely returning this year. Amsa debuted in tournaments last year at evo so he will most likely be returning this year as well. _________________ |

It's cool to see Ken getting back into the competitive scene more than just showing up at the annual Kings of Cali tournaments. Props to KDJ, he deserves this sponsor being the solid player he's been throughout his Smash career.

Those two are gonna have to train like f*** to take on the evolved scene.

Ken will have to do the most training. I've seen KDJ play at Apex 2014 and he's still able to hang with high leveled players. |

uh, Idk... unless i see a bowser or somn for EVO i don't think it'll bee that exciting... melee that is... maybe it's just because idgaf about the politics and player history but the melee scene isn't that exciting to me anymore. Last year was brilliant because the top 8 where so diverse but the chances of that happening again...

I can understand where you're coming from, but I don't think the Melee scene is boring nowadays. Now the Project M scene however, that to me is boring. |

You can have whatever opinions you want, but top 8s are almost always very diverse. It's not like last year's evo was an isolated incident. Why would you think it wouldn't have good character variety this year? |
