My personal favorite was REmake or RE3. RE4 was pretty good, a bit more action than I'd have liked to see in an RE game but still pretty great for what it was. RE5 never existed as far as I'm concerned >_>.

I don't typically change my opinion according to others' when playing the game. If I like a character, I like them. Haha. I don't really care for others' opinions in that type of case.

And I was referring to the protagonist of Code: Veronica. I played it on the Dreamcast, so I don't recall many details. That might not be her name, I don't quite remember.

Mmm... I really liked RE2. That might be my favorite. I'm a big fan of RE4, RE5 and RE Dead Aim (despite the hate that it got). Revelations seems good so far as well (As far as gameplay goes at least). I don't quite understand the hate on RE5, but I suppose this isn't the topic to discuss that.


I wasn't saying anything like changing your opinion based on other's, I was just saying I don't see many Ashley fans (Then again with the RE fanase anything from RE4 and 5 tends to get hate from a vocal group, so I guess that could be part of it).

As for the CV protagonist, I think you mean Claire Redfield.

As for RE5, I just don't like a lot about it. I didn't like the story, I didn't like the fact they didn't even try to have a scary atmosphere, I hated Sheva and her terrible AI, and I hated that they didn't even let Jill get teh final hit on Wesker (Though I admit that one's not a really big deal).. Bascially the only thing I did like was Mercenaries mode and Versus mode.

Ah, I see your point. I like that they were trying something different. The "dark room, popping up zombies" motif was run dry if you asked me. It was almost a breath of fresh air.

I hate mercenaries. It's everything I hate in a RE game. Just action, no stories, and enough bullets.

The only thing I like is it brings back classic characters, but other than that...UH.

As the OP, I intended this topic to be for the Resident Evil Series as a whole... I just didn't know whether it'd survive on its own, so I threw in the 6, as it's new.

I got almost 200 hours in on Mercs 3D.The game is as addictive and fun as any FPS out there.

Huge bump but everyone who bought Dragon's Dogma can play the demo today, the demo is a section of all the character's stories, and you can play co op with a friend. I'm downloading it right now.
If you didn't buy Dragon's Dogma you'll have to wait 'till September.

Public demo is out


The game feels a bit unresponsive when moving and reloading

and out of the first two campaigns I played Leons is better then Chris's by far

Anyone else a bit uncomfortable with the movement ?

I know the game is trying to be faster paced and more open to free movement but just walking around feels sloppy

If you don't believe me try playing RE4/5 or even dead space is a good example of how to have open "Tank" controls" that make the game feel solid without being to restricted. Probably just over thinking this :sweat:

Leon's campaign was the best, y'all need Jesus. Jake's was just incredibly ridiculous with s*** being thrown at you from every possible direction.

Jake's was best in the private demo, haven't tried everyone in the open demo.
Movement felt better in the private demo as well, I dunno.
edit: The missions were different in the private demo, too.

i hate the shooting so then i go and kick the s*** out of everything but take quite a bit of damage not that it seems to matter though

has anyone here gotten out of a zombie grab?

also the knife is useless
