How good can kirby be if he is played aggressively? I might pick him up.

Kirby has some pretty hard counters, mostly swords. Like playing Ichi, Lloyd or Link with Kirbs is about as futile as it gets, so you better have other options.

Once Kirby is able to get demon fang, the match up is more attainable. Kirby can outspace Lloyd then.

Kirby can stay in the air long, and when Lloyd approaches from a distance in the air, he's able to counter to an extent.

Anyone got tips for the Kirby vs Donkey Kong MU?

This is kinda rough, but doable. The problem with DK is that he outranges you and kills you at like -10%. However, dair does ruin his recovery and you do have more aerial mobility and combo game against him, so you're best bet IMO is to try to outspace bair and get him off the stage for gimp kills.

I agree, down air can lead to many follow ups against the great ape.

Seems like a good idea.

What do you think is the spread in Kirby v DK? I used to think it was ~80-20 DK, but I think Kirby actually has some good tools. He gimps DK really early with Inhale and bair, and can juggle for days. I now think it's about 60-40 or 70-30. What do you guys think?

in 9a this was arguably one of kirby's best MU's, now though, online I'd say 55-45 in DK's favour, offline I'd say 50-50.

I don't see how it's even now. Both characters may have gotten minor changes between demos; but drastically impacted on the way they perform now. Kirby cannot combo or juggle as well as he could before. DK has to new ways to interrupt combos. He has a whole arsenal of moves that KO Kirby around 70%, as well as better setups to land those move. And Giant-Punch cleanly kills at 25%+ mid-stage. It's at least 60-40 DK at best now; on or offline.

I do have to agree with Zalozis on account of Character changes. Thanks to the new demo, DK moves faster allowing him to better space himself against Kirby, who hasn't changed much at all. It's just that DK can throw around Smash attacks like it was nothing and if one of those were to connect, it's a big loss for Kirby. DK can also have pretty much guaranteed hits if Kirby tries to pull a straight forward aerial attack (thanks to a well spaced U-tilt), Kirby has to be creative when approaching.

On the other hand, DK might have gotten faster and all (and smaller too) but that doesn't mean he's not heavy nor a big target. When Kirby gets into a combo on DK, it practically spells doom. If Kirby's juggling, DK would have to use U-spec to really escape and what would happen next is dependent on how much % Kirby has (E.G if Kirby had low % he would easily resume punishing if DK went high enough into the air). DK also has to watch out when recovering because of Kirby's Down Air. Really, in an aerial fight, DK has N-air, B-air, and U-air and U-spec for an escape if desperate. While Kirby has every aerial at his command and his jumps for spacing and escapes. In a ground fight, Kirby is much more at risk, it's rather the opposite, now. DK can use pretty much any attack and it'd still outrange Kirby not to mention that if Kirby does stay on the ground, DK's D-spec ruins Kirby's day and sets up another nice combo for DK.

Kirby does have many issues with Donkey Kong, but once Kirby can set up a combo, DK is in huge trouble. That said, All's DK needs to do is play a safe game and use a Smash attack when needed (or Giant Punch). I think the MU should be around 60-40 in DK's favour.
