Well the only ones I've beaten (out of the main series) are XIII, which had a bipolar difficulty curve, and X, which has no difficulty if you do the right things, but I would have to say that my personal favorite is VIII.

And Cloud's only amazing if you don't know much about Zack. Just saying.

You need the ring that keeps two people zombie, or whatever. Or else you die instantly, and you need to customize with the holy water.

People do those kinda challenge runs with no sphere grid.

The only challenge I can't see being possible would be Yuna only, no Aeon, and no Sphere Grid. I don't see killing Yunalesca, Sin, or Jecht by just wacking them with Yuna's staff >_>

Just to bring up something else, FFIX, is my favorite.

I think a good challenge would be What Green said, plus no use. That would be dreadful, but a challenge.

I rarely use guides though, only for a checklist for missables and those side-quests where it's painful not to use a guide.

While were on the subject of X, would anybody hate on me if I said that I, for lack of a better term, accidentally beat Omega Weapon? Believe me or not, and I think I've said this already, but if you give Rikku auto-haste after getting far enough on the sphere grid she kills everything before it can touch you. And it looks like she's on crack.

I killed him too by accident, Ultima as well, using Holy. Yuna is beast with the Nirvana >_>

Too beastly actually, I missed out one of Kimahri's Lancet moves because of that.

Actually I beat most of the bosses in X accidentally now that I think about it... except Shinryu... he killed me before I even knew what was going on...
