C# Versus C++

I wanted to try my hand at a programming language again and I cannot decide between the two. Can anyone point out any pros or cons to the two?

It mostly depends on what you're trying to do. I would recommend c++ if you don't have a specific purpose in mind and just want to learn a language. |

Do you have any ideas of what do you want to do once you learn to code? If you want to learn general coding I'd go for C, but if you intend to go for gaming, C++ is the way to go, especially since being object-oriented eases a lot of work. If that's the case, once you learn the basics also make sure to learn about OOP and design patterns. _________________  Avatar and signature pics by Semicolon. |

For now I just wanted to learn one for the hell of it but if I do end up using it it would be for gaming.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for tutorials? The set of tutorials I was using ended abruptly and left me in the dust. I do plan on buying books but I'll want something else.
